AMS QQA 200/11 7075 is a high strength aluminium alloy containing 5.1 to 6.1% zinc. Solution treated, artificially aged and controlled stretched to achieve the T6511 condition, the product is delivered in extruded bar and profile form.
The material is a high strength alloy with very good machinability. The alloy is weldable using resistance, spot and beam welding methods, though other methods are not recommended. Resistance to atmospheric corrosive attack is poor.
