Beryllium copper (also known as beryllium bronze and spring copper) offers the highest strength of any copper available on the market. Alloying elements such as nickel and cobalt improve specific properties such as heat treatment. Click on an image below to view our material grades.
Applications for beryllium copper usually divide those requiring high strength and those requiring high conductivity.
For applications requiring high strength alloys with a higher beryllium content, either a precipitation hardening heat treatment or an age-hardening process is recommended. For high conductivity, alloys with lower beryllium content are used (down to around 0.7%).
