CW101C (UNS C17200) is a beryllium-copper alloy available in mill hardened and heat-treatable tempers.
The product is appropriate for use in applications where a combination of high strength and stiffness, with good conductivity, is required. With good to excellent corrosion resistance, CW101C offers excellent cold workability and good hot formability. The tensile strength of this beryllium copper product exceeds 1280 MPa.
Fabrication methods include blanking, forming and bending, turning, drilling and tapping. The toxicity of beryllium determines the need for appropriate ventilation during specific processes such as machining, grinding and welding. The electrical conductivity of the alloy is good.
