AMS QQA 225/8 6061 - a medium strength alloy, made to the American Standard. Solution treated, artificially aged and controlled stretched to achieve the T651 condition, the alloy is supplied in drawn, rolled or cold worked bar, profile and wire form. You can also take advantage of our in-house processing services which ensure you receive our products cut to your specific size requirements.
The product is a medium strength alloy offering very good machinability and very good weldability using inert gas, resistance, spot or beam welding. Other welding methods are not recommended. The alloy has good resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
