AMS WW T 700/3 Aluminium Alloy

AMS-WWT-700/3 drawn aluminium tubing finds broad use in the aerospace sector due to the alloys higher strength combined with good machinability. The material has a superior grain structure and is a popular alloy for high strength tubing applications.



Capabilities

AMS-WWT-700/3 has fair corrosion resistance. The alloy is greater in strength than both 2024 & 2017 and offers good machining capabilities with good fatigue resistance. Cold formability is fair, and the material is only weldable by friction welding.
