We are a world-class supplier of engineering raw materials. Our objective is to provide all our customers, from the small machine shop to the large multi-national corporation, a supply path that continuously delivers the highest levels of service, quality and value.
Typically used in general fabrication work and lighter construction projects, our extensive range of aluminium channels are available in a variety of incremental sizes to suit your engineering requirements.
With the ability to cut your aluminium channels to length, we offer a fast product turnaround via our national network for 13 dedicated UK service centres. Our products are ideal for use as an edging material where extra strength and rigidity is required while providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance (particularly when anodised). Aluminium is a lightweight alloy which combines tensile strength with superior corrosion resistance. While inherently soft, the aluminium's mechanical properties are improved considerably by introducing additional elements into the alloying process.
Our range of channels not only come in a broad range of incremental sizes - there are multiple material grades to choose from too. With in-house processing options available onsite and 13 UK service locations to choose from, we offer you aluminium products with availability and expertise on your doorstep.
Often referred to as 'U' sections or angles, our aluminium channels are suitable for use in a variety of engineering applications including aerospace, architectural, framework, tracking, shopfitting, automotive and structural.
We stock Aluminium Channels in a variety of grades.
Our knowledgeable staff and resident metallurgists will be pleased to assist you further on any technical topic. Smiths Metal Centres Limited also boasts an in-house UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory which is unique within the multi-metal and plastic stockholding sector. We believe this underlines our total commitment to quality and our ethos of being the complete service provider.
