BS S526 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel stabilised with titanium.
Available in soft annealed sheet and strip, the alloy is suitable for low strength components requiring good corrosion resistance and cold workability. With good weldability, the material has a tensile strength (Rm) 540 N/mm². BS S526 is the British aerospace standard for stainless steel 321, and is often supplied dual-certified to the U.S. aerospace specification AMS 5510.
BS S526 aerospace stainless steel sheet includes titanium and offers good corrosion resistance and cold workability. Used in low strength applications the alloy also offers good weldability.
