We are a world-class supplier of engineering raw materials. Our objective is to provide all our customers, from the small machine shop to the large multi-national corporation, a supply path that continuously delivers the highest levels of service, quality and value.
As one of the largest engineering material stockholders in Europe, we offer a substantial range of bronze flat bar products in closer incremental sizes to suit your engineering requirements. We stock a broad range of material grades including aluminium, leaded and phosphor bronzes which are available in flat form on an ex-stock basis. We supply flat bar in straight lengths or cut to your size requirements.
Engineering applications are widespread and include bushings and bearings, springs, shafts, gears and valve parts. Bronze alloys also find favour in architectural applications due to the finish of the material. As a copper-based alloy, bronze can be soldered and brazed, and the majority of our products can be welded too. Many of our bronze grades off anti-galling characteristics and metal-to-metal wear resistance.
We process bronze flats internally, which removes the need for you to go to a third-party provider; these services are provided from our central warehouse and also across our service centre network. The ability to stock and process your flats internally means that we offer engineering material stock on fast lead times.
We stock Bronze Flats in a variety of grades.
Our knowledgeable staff and resident metallurgists will be pleased to assist you further on any technical topic. Smiths Metal Centres Limited also boasts an in-house UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory which is unique within the multi-metal and plastic stockholding sector. We believe this underlines our total commitment to quality and our ethos of being the complete service provider.
