We are a world-class supplier of engineering raw materials. Our objective is to provide all our customers, from the small machine shop to the large multi-national corporation, a supply path that continuously delivers the highest levels of service, quality and value.
Our copper tube range includes round, rectangular and square tube products which we stock in an extensive range of incremental sizes for immediate supply. Copper tube is ideal for use in gas or liquid high pressure and low-pressure systems covering a wide range of temperatures. Copper tubing is easy to work and provides excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, durability and corrosion resistance.
Typical use includes HVAC systems, cooling systems, gas and underground water systems, heating systems, drainage and venting, chillers, fuel and oil systems and use in solar power systems. Copper tubing is low lasting and virtually maintenance-free - it can even be embedded safely into concrete substrates. Copper also benefits from lower installation costs. The joining of a copper tube using soldering and brazing is straightforward. As the material offers excellent both excellent rigidity and formability, it is possible to utilise copper tubing without the need to create elbows and joints.
We offer comprehensive material support with dedicated tube cutting services, located across our network of UK service centres. We bandsaw your copper tubes to specific lengths, handling tube diameters from 23mm to 200mm which we cut to a tolerance of +/-0.3mm.
We stock Copper Tube in a variety of grades.
Our knowledgeable staff and resident metallurgists will be pleased to assist you further on any technical topic. Smiths Metal Centres Limited also boasts an in-house UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory which is unique within the multi-metal and plastic stockholding sector. We believe this underlines our total commitment to quality and our ethos of being the complete service provider.
