3103 aluminium alloy is a commercial aluminium which is close in properties to 3003.
With better resistance to atmospheric corrosion and excellent mechanical properties, 3103 is a versatile alloy finding use in the aerospace, oil and gas industry and automotive sector amongst others. The material has improved mechanical properties over 1000 series aluminium alloys, especially at elevated working temperatures. This feature widens the use of the alloy as a construction cladding material.
3103 aluminium alloy has properties which are very close to 3003. The alloy is of medium strength with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion and has good weldability.
